[Solved]Translation module into other languages!

27 posts in this topic

Hello dear developer!

The forum reviewed and did not understand how to translate the module using the .ini file. Would you be so kind as to point to my mistakes:

1. translate the file en-GB.mod_bt_login.ini

2. Save ru-RU.mod_bt_login.ini

3. Uploading to a folder /language/ru-Ru/

However, in the module all stored in the native language т.е.EN

Thanks in Advance!

P.S. References to decisions in other similar topics not work...

hi,

to translate the language file, you must open file en-GB.mod_bt_login.ini in the path language/en-GB/

then translate English language to your language or any language you want.

Example:

CACHING ="Caching"

replace "Caching" by "Exemple" if you want to translate to French language:

CACHING ="Exemple"

.

Hope it help you.

thanks!

Hello,

but this could not be the solution to have only one possible language for the mdule!!!

Why it is not working correctly that regarding chosen language in joomla the correct language file will be chosen in language folders, lets say:

de-DE.mod_bt_login.ini from language folder DE,

es-ES.mod_bt_login.ini from language folder ES and so on...

Also very good would be to have the possibility to specify the label of the button directly within module configuration!

kind regards,

Paul

Hello,

I am still waiting on an intelligent solution for multi language sides.

At the moment btlogin unfortunately is not working for that kind of websites...

Please think about developing this feature as soon as possible.

See alsomlast post..

Hello Paul,

BT Login is a module support for joomla users system. So the module will inherit some of the language system (com_user).

You should translate the folder: "en-GB" to your language folder. Please putting it in "JoomlaRoot/language" folder.

You can create multiple language installed package too:

* Putt your translated language folder to "mod_bt_login_j2.5\language" and then edit mod_bt_login.xml, add your defined language line.

Example: <language tag="fr-FR">fr-FR/fr-FR.mod_bt_login.ini</language>

You can see the France language working well. This translation was contributed by an our customer.

Best regards,

HungTx

You have to save your file as UTF-8. Open it in Notepad and in Save as options find the encoding dropdown.

Hi, How can i change my file en-GB to en-PT?

to translate for Portuguese (Portugal) the code is not en-PT but pt-PT

pt-BR would be the code for portuguese (Brazil)

Note 1: Files are already translated here:

https://www.transife...ects/p/btlogin/

Note 2 - Any translation for a given extension only work if you alrteady as the Joomla core related language file installed!

Hi.

You did wrong.

After installation BT Login, you only need copy language file to folder {joomla root}/language/sk-SK

You don't need copy it to module folder.

Good luck.
