Apply this fix for external CSS to render in IE and Chrome

2 posts in this topic

All,

There is a bug in this template. When you navigate to a SSL page, the Google fonts called on the external sheets don't render in IE and Chrome. Basically, both browsers won't download the insecure content.

To fix, to go to yourwebsite>templates>bt_restaurant>tpls>blocks>head.html.

On line 47 and 48 change the following:

<link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Oswald' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>

<link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lobster+Two' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>

to

<link href='//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Oswald' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>

<link href='//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lobster+Two' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>

This is also an error in module Google Maps. I will post the fix there too.

Bottom line is to make sure you don't use http:// when referening external resouces on SSL, https//, pages.

I hope this helps someone.

Kory
