[Solved 6r] Contact form from menu

8 posts in this topic

Hi,

I'm building a new site and would like to use this as a contact form. But I don't understand how to use it.

I want to make a Contact menu item and then be able to fill in the form.

Should I put it in an article?

I would also like to know if it is possieble to change the text in the 'feedback' button. I would like to call it 'contact'. No problem if I have to change it in the css, but where do I find it?

Thanks in advance.

Regards, Ed

I did manage to get the popup working from a link in text in an article and as a clickable image.

But I can't figure out how to get the popup working when I click on a menu item called 'contact'.

Hi Ed Wens.

To change text of Feedback, you can change it in file /language/en-GB/en-GB.mod_quickcontact.ini,

And to use a HTML element to call modal form, you need to use right class or id of that element.

Example

<div id="abc">...</div>

you can use #abc or div#abc

<div id="abc"><a href="#" class="def">Text</a></div>

you can use a.def or .def

Thank you for your answer.

I got the language part changed.

But I do not understand your explanation about the menu item.

I know the ID of my BT-contact module (99), but how to put this in a menu-item?

See www.bruidsfotografiewestland.nl I want to use the menu-text 'contact' to display the popup.

Opps I'm sorry. I remembered wrong, BT Quick Contact doesn't support class, It only support id of HTML element.

Please take a look to my picture.

If you use Inspect Element of browser you can see structure of a Webpage.

Each element may have an ID and many Class.

As you see in the picture, your Contact menu has class "item-475",

And this is trick to help you use this class to call contact form.

Open the module's manager page, find parameter "HTML Element ID" then enter

"any_text, .item-475"
