Internal Server Error

7 posts in this topic

Hello,

We are trying the module BT Twitter feeds Module Version 2.2.

When we try to save the Widget Embed Code we are getting the error:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator to inform of the time the error occurred and of anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

What can we do to fix this?

Best regards, Reinder

Hi there.

Thanks so using our extension.

But i'm not sure about this problem, can you give me your URL to let me check it?

And can you give me the embed code or screen shot of the module's setting ?

Thanks

I'am getting the error when i save the settings in the backend.

The widget embed code is the reason for the error:

<a class="twitter-timeline" href="https://twitter.com/NataschaHoiting" data-widget-id="646300562485571585">Tweets by @NataschaHoiting</a>

<script>!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0],p=/^http:/.test(d.location)?'http':'https';if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src=p+"://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");</script>

Ok.

Maybe i got the reason.

Now please go to Extensions Manager uninstall the module then re-install it.

Then try to insert to embed code a random string such as "abc"

Save the module.

Then if it doesn't have problem, continue insert some special key such as ", ' , \, / and save the module

If it is still fine. Continue check length of string

Please insert a long paragraph

And test it.

I've tried it and ik can put in a very long string.

When i just insert the following code i am getting the server error: <script></script>

It seems he won't accept </script> as input..

If you want a login for the backend please let me know..

Hi there.

I think that there is a plugin (it may be a system plugin), it check <script>...</script> code and do something with this code.

When you remove </script>, the plugin can't detect.

But the browser such as Firefox can read this code with out close tag </script>

So the module work.
